Madison Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to Madison County Released Inmates. By using the site, a visitor accepts the conditions below, including the limits on record accuracy, permitted conduct, outside services, and legally restricted uses.

This privately owned site has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides FCRA-covered credit, employment, insurance, or tenant-screening services, and neither is a consumer reporting agency or private investigation firm.

Nature of the Service

Madison County Released Inmates is a private reference with no tie to a sheriff, jail, court, corrections department, or other government body. It stores no official custody or court records and cannot confirm status, release a person, or file documents.

Its pages point visitors toward Madison County, CVRJ, Virginia, and federal resources, along with third-party research tools. The originating agency remains responsible for its own records.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the service lawfully and without harming another person or the site.

  • Do not violate a law through use of the service.
  • Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
  • Do not use information for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another prohibited eligibility decision.
  • Do not attempt access to systems or data without authorization.
  • Do not operate bots, scrapers, or mass-collection tools.
  • Do not interfere with access for other visitors.

No Consumer Reports

Madison County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and its advertising partners do not offer such services through this site. Users agree not to rely on site information for employment decisions, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licensing, permits, government-program eligibility, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.

Third-Party Destinations

Links may lead to release-record offices, sheriff or corrections sites, government portals, legal resources, and outside search services. A link is not an endorsement. This site does not control the destination's content, data practices, prices, security, or availability, so visitors should review its terms before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The site and all content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that information is complete, correct, current, uninterrupted, free of errors or security defects, or that a partner search will return every relevant record. Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing displayed here is an official statement by Madison County, CVRJ, VADOC, or another agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its owners, and its partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access to, inability to use, or reliance on the service or an outside link.

User Indemnification

A user agrees to defend and hold the site, its owners, and its partners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by that user's conduct, misuse of information, or violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless another owner is identified, site text, graphics, logos, design elements, and code belong to Madison County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, or modified without written permission except where law expressly permits.

Changes and Access

These terms may change at any time, and revised terms become effective when posted. Access may also be limited, suspended, or revoked at any time and without advance notice, including when conduct threatens the service or violates these conditions.

Virginia Law Controls

Virginia law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Virginia.

If One Term Fails

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected term will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
